Just what are we going to do with this landscaping? Thanks to Gregg and Ellis Landscape Design we have the answer.

Hillside landscaping is always a tough nut to crack. Most of the time it takes some sort of retaining walls. In this case the design called for actual stone walls and a meandering gravel pathway to the lower garden. The design was by Gregg and Ellis Landscape Design. We have been working partners for over 15 years and have always been very pleased with the results. Our clients also really appreciate their skills in design.

A big thank you to everyone at Woody’s Custom Landscaping for helping me realize my vision for our backyard! We had a difficult property (drops in elevation about 20’) that was really unusable. Now we have a wonderful switchback path snaking down to the bottom of the property created with dry stack rock and surrounded by beautiful plantings. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and really appreciated that they were easy to work with and really listened to my ideas. It was a big project and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

The hillside has been tamed with rock walls and a wide gravel pathway to stroll the garden.

On this hillside landscaping we built the rock walls, gravel pathways and the stone steps. We also installed the soil preparation, sod lawn, drip and regular irrigation, planting and of course the top dress. We worked together with our client and Gregg and Ellis Landscape Design to make sure it came to fruition with everyone. We had over 300 lineal feet of rock wall building as well as a tremendous amount of grading and soil moving in this project. The gravel pathways were topped off with a black 1/4″ minus gravel which really added a nice touch. https://woodyscustomlandscaping.com

The stone steps offer a nice short cut versus taking the strolling path to the lower garden.
